Kahuku Publishing
November Twenty Nineteen

Kahuku Publishing was born from prue frustration. Author Des Molloy took things into his own hands after failing to get his books published and created a company that supports the self published author with the craft and professionalism that trumps any of the major publishers. The word ‘Kahuku’ means monarch butterfly in Māori and the logo represents the resting silhouette of the butterfly. The identity system is supported with a natural palette that enhances that design of the books. Des has worked closely with us in implementing an Indesign Workflow making his turnaround time incredibly fast for such a small team.

Jess, your service through The Design Dept has been wonderful and greatly appreciated.  I now expect the unexpected.
All your designs have exceeded my expectations … never dull and predictable.  I believe that your professionalism and enthusiasm for the project have been part of the reason it is succeeding.
The complete book design and delivery, along with promotional flyers and a stunning website have lent a real legitimacy to my burgeoning publishing initiative.
Overwhelmingly, the comments about your graphics have been positive.  My people have loved the visuals.  Thank you.
